If you read my last review of this game, let me tell you now, it is starting to grow on me...
I realized after writing my first review of this game that it deserved another chance from me, so I have faithfully logged in for the last two days, and have completed the daily tasks faithfully. Doing so has allowed me to see some of the finer points of this game, and given me some new appreciation for what the creators are attempting to accomplish with it.
Cool Learning Opportunities...
One of the first things that bothered me about this game was the referrals to other pages that are integrated throughout the daily tasks. I do not like being forced to go to other web pages in order to complete tasks in a game, but as I did them, I realized that as I was completing these tasks, I was also learning about beer making!
Steps In a Process...
I am learning as I go through the steps in this game the various steps in the beer-making process. First, you learn about water and the way it impacts the process, then you learn about the difference between "top and bottom" fermenting yeasts, or at least someone might understand it, cause I sure didn't!
Either Way, The Game Grows On You...
If you take anything from this review, take that first impression is not always correct. I was biased against this game from the go and I realize that now. I am not a "gamer" in the first place, but I do love to learn, and this game teaches you about a really cool subject, Beer!
