Shortly after GDAX, Coinbase integrated the buying and selling of Litecoin. Charlie Lee, head of engineering for Coinbase and creator of Litecoin, sees this as an improvement to help with Bitcoin scalability as it can remove the overhead from some smaller transactions that Litecoin can benefit from. A few weeks ago, Litecoin developers announced they will start integrating SegWit to further the coin's development process after the price had remained flat for several years. Coinbase tweeted that Litecoin won't be the last coin added to their site as they're working on adding even more.
