Supporting SP Delegations - Tell us how Delegation Helped you on Steemit

SP Delegations on Steemit
have the power to change a users experience instantly,
and for the long term.

Today I would like to share with you my experience with Steem Power Delegation, and how it completely changed the course of my path on Steemit.

I joined Steemit in May of 2017 without any initial investment. I started out doing the usual not-so great blog posts like a typical newbie. I floundered around for a month or so, until one day I saw a post from @Acidyo, who was starting a curation group and was willing to offer 1,000 SP delegations to those selected. I applied, and was fortunate enough to be chosen as one of the original 20 @OCD Curators for Operation Curation Delegation.

This immediately gave me the voting slider, which I had not had before the delegation as I had been well under 500sp. This in turn got me out in the community more voting and curating content. This delegation was the inspiration for me to really go head first into the Steemit Community as a curator. Going out and finding content daily for @OCD has been an amazing experience, as I have been able to interact with many amazing content creators. It all started with that initial delegation. Without it, who knows if I would have stayed on Steemit. I would like to hope that I would, but the delegation built the foundation of my Steemit career.

The curation inspired me to create better content of my own, including a Steemit based Interview Radio show on @MSP-Waves, and my own Curation Live Streams on my TWITCH Channel. I now curate for @OCD, @Muxxybot, and @MinnowSupport.

@Acidyo's project of creating 20 curators by delegating to them was an amazing idea. It has now grown and evolved into international curation, and the group has curated hundreds of content creators on Steemit. I alone have curated over 100 unique authors because of the delegation I received. Without this opportunity given through delegation, many of these blogs may not have been viewed by the curators. This cycle is started from the delegations. The delegations encourage curation, which in turn should help the Steemit platform grow and thrive. More curation will inspire more content, and the cycle goes on.

Being mentioned in @Stellabelle 's recent post about Steemians who should be considered for delegations was a huge blessing for me. It is my hope that posts like these will get the discussions about delegations going more amongst the Steemit Community. If more users with higher SP would be willing to delegate to other trustworthy users, it would help grow the platform in my opinion. Delegations are described in the Steem Wallet as "Delegation is donated for influence or to help new users perform actions on steemit".

I look forward to hearing how SP delegations changed your Steemit experiences. I know for me personally, it made all of the difference. Thank you again to @Acidyo for your cause and for sharing these delegations, which has inspired many to become better members of the Steemit Community.

This is of course all only my opinion, but from my own experience, I feel that SP Delegations could be what takes Steemit in a positive direction if more users utilize them.

Thank you for reading and Resteeming!
