Yup 40 Steem in prizes!!
So recently, I found out that the amazing folks at @curie contacted me and let me know that they like to do "community building" and have chosen to support my Photo Contest with some extra Steem. I was not expecting this at all and was quite taken by surprised by their support. Everyone at @curie does so much to support so many people and initiatives as it is and I am honored that they would do this for me, so I am taking the opportunity to reward a lot of people with some prizes.
I will be choosing 14 people as winners during this contest, but it will be a lot different than my normal photo contest. Make sure you read the entire post so you understand the rules of the contest.
So what is this contest about?
Well, this week I will be traveling to Las Vegas with my wife to celebrate our 17th anniversary. This is a pretty big deal for us because of everything we have been through in our marriage. If you have been keeping up with my blog, you know what I am talking about. There WILL NOT be any other themes this week because I will be taking somewhat of a break from the platform to spend time with my wife.
The theme for this contest is family.

Make a post and tell us about your family. Tell us what makes your family so awesome. Do you want to know what makes my family awesome? Well for one, my wife has put up with me for 17 years now. During my time in the military, I spent 6 years away from her and the kids. This isn't something most wives would be able to handle.

Another thing that makes my family awesome is that we are all on Steemit. My wive's account is @faitherz33, my daughter is @poeticangel and my son is @solidusstreams. Not many families are here are the Steemit blockchain, but I was able to talk them all into getting on this amazing platform.
My son, @solidusstreams, is a very talented skateboarder and a pro video game player. He is having a great time studying welding in school right now and wants to be an underwater welder. He is also interested in becoming a computer engineer.

My daughter, @poeticangel, is an aspiring photographer and poetic. She has been away at summer camp this past weekend, so I am hoping that she gets back to posting about her adventures. We have shared some of her poetry in the past and I am hoping that she shares more of it with everyone because she is super talented.

My family means the world to me. They have gotten me through so much in my life, especially my wife. She has been my rock and my hero for many years. Without them, I would not be here.
So that is my family in a nutshell. I hope that this gives you an idea for your post for this contest.
