Yesterday I was writing about my freelance career with Behance and suddenly found this cool project I've made for one Russian bank. There are sketches and middle variants I never showed so this post comes unique and hope it will be interesting for others since yesterday me personally was amazed of this.
It's fun when I am writing about myself immediately getting an inspiration thinking like Wow, am I really created this?
Supposed to be cobranded Promsvyazbank and Moscow Gorky Part cards so I wanted to show happy people laying down in nature. Quickly found these refs on Shutterstock.
As you know I really fond of happy, relaxed people so it was easy and joyful sketching. I know some are getting mad seeing happy faces all around but I like them if it is not a mask of happiness of course. Was nice to draw winter while resting in hot Thai summer that time by the way.
They've approved the middle one asking to add some details and all the logos before we go coloring so we can adjust the composition before it's too late.
They even didn't ask me to make his face look nicer. Glad I've realized it should be improved on my own. Here is how the coloring process started. I've found proper gamma, made simple forms and then found myself drawing details on the face because it was the most interesting part of the work. When I was satisfied with the face I've done other things.
I found this photo from a client. They had special card printer right in the office tested my new designs together with iPhone cases. Unfortunately, it's Instagram filtered.
Final approved image looked like that. There are two more cards and lots of unapproved middle sketches with different ideas. I am planning to show you soon. What do you say?
