Collaborative Art Journey With @everlove

The collaborative art project encourages Steemians to utilise an image as inspiration.

I like that the original photograph was not perfectly geometric. It has an organic kind of life about it.
It almost looks like the central flower is surrounded by a circle of beings with intertwined limbs.

I am still in hospital

The patch that I was hoping would fix my leaking spinal fluid appears to have failed.
I find the evenings difficult away from my family, so in place of despair, I thought I would use the Shadow Mandala as doodling inspiration.

I quickly learned that upside-down doodling with a ballpoint pen is a bit frustrating, but I switched to a felt tip and clip board with much improved results.

I generally interpret this collaboration as an appropriation of the original in some way, however I am still stuck mostly horizontal in hospital.
I allowed myself the freedom to not be concerned at all with symmetry (not least of all because I'm drawing upside-down) and just let it flow.

Tomorrow is another day, with another plan.
