The Homestead is growing slowly... We're now calling it Dream Land (Express)!
After some research online, I'm pretty sure it was a fox.
We've seen and heard quite a few animals on the property. It feels good to be around so much wildlife even though we are so close to town!
Identifying wildlife is something I really would like to dive deep into.
Since we've been here we've seen turkey, deer, a skunk with whome we cross paths with from time to time, a giant snapping turtle we call bruiser because of a big scar on his shell, there's a wood chuck (I think) that wattles away every time he sees one of us coming, a bald eagle, tons of other birds, fish and of course all the really interesting insects and spiders!
I may be forgetting about some other animals.... but that's close to all we've seen thus far. I really really love being outside and away from the big city, I don't know how I spent 25 years there, but now I'm out and constantly learning new things!!!
The other day I had to learn a little something about electricity and re-wired our generator to make it work with out camper home.
And than of course there are all the mushrooms that have been growing like there's no tomorrow. I saw some new ones yesterday too, on my walk to chop wood:
In the end I managed to salvage quite a few logs, I filled up the back of my car, but there is much more work to be done in that sector, with winter on it's way!
**We are surrounded by so much magic in this forest, I feel so blessed to have started this new adventure with my family. Everyday is a challenge and everyday we grow stronger together, but everyday thus far, has been rewarding. **
Thank you to my Steemit family for giving me the motivation to write (when I can), and helping me learn, I owe you so much Gratitude... All I know to do, is keep posting updats on our progress and hope to inspire some of you!
Once again, thank you for stopping by 😀!

Some people have a green thumb, I think I may have a green hand!
