One of my friends told me about this quiz on Skype earlier this year, but now the site seems updated and improved. Plus we are more into this election than we were then, So I figured I'd give it another try. Last time I took it gave me Trump as who I sided with.
https://www.isidewith.com/elections/2016-presidential-quiz is the quiz I'm talking about.
It asks for your stances on different issue topics. such as science, domestic, foreign, education, social, etc issues.
For some questions such as "Do you support the use of nuclear energy" there wasn't really an answer, I liked. So I added my own saying "Yes, as long as it can be done 100% safely".
In this post, I comment on my thoughts on various issues and share my results. A bit longer than my other posts, just in a good hyper mood today :)
My thoughts on illegals
Then for "Should illegal immigrants be offered in-state tuition rates at public colleges within their residing state?", I put no.
States like California and 11 others including DC lets illegals get driver licenses. I feel those DMV workers and lawmakers in those states should be sent to prison. They are at that point knowingly harboring illegals for not turning them over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Yet as someone who was born in this country back when I got my first ID I had to show my birth certificate, social security card, and birth certificate along with a utility bill with my address on it.
My thoughts on refugees
Then for the refugee question, while it's sad what's going on I feel we need to take care of our vets, homeless people, women, and children first. America first! Look at how the refugees destroyed Germany. Just like they say on Airplanes safety training videos. Put your own oxygen mask on first, before helping others.
There're even some cities that don't even give their firefighters benefits. These are people walking into burning buildings or police officers getting involved with potentially violence domestic abuse calls that could escalate. I was reading a random forum thread once with dispatchers talking about stories. Even their jobs sound stressful, you get calls about shootings, car accidents, etc and you hope everything will be fine but because of things like HIPPA you can't know the outcome so you're always left wondering about it.
My thoughts on policing
Also, there was the topic of police wearing body cams out in public, which sounds like a great idea. I know law enforcement isn't popular right now. I am so sick of videos of cops trending shooting people for no reason, destroying people's property or even just harassing people who do things that are completely legal. There are videos of people riding Velomobile's, a bike that sorta looks like one of those early F1 race cars.
Some people are posting multiple videos of the same department pulling them over. Clearly, cops aren't informed of all the laws they are paid to enforce. Which, not knowing all the laws isn't 100% their fault to be fair. We have full-time people writing laws nonstop, even though our founding fathers never intended for it to be a full-time job. Oh and then some threaten people who film them too.
Then recently I saw one of a cop taking a vlogger's electric skateboard and throwing it on the ground towards him after grabbing it from him while he was riding it on the street at dark. Those things are like $1,500. The guy who got pulled over didn't damage anyone else's property even if he did break some sort of traffic law. I feel no respect was shown.
One of the things I feel is very true is that you should treat people how you want to be respected. Treat others nice, if you want to be nice. One thing you have never seen me do on Steemit is call people idiots in the comments. I really love how people on here are having more civil conversations compared to other platforms.
Then some cops kill your boyfriend right in front of you while doing nothing sitting in the car, and then they have the balls to arrest the girlfriend and detain her for no reason. I remember that video being viral on Facebook Live a few months ago.
So I like to try to look objectively at things from both sides. I think people in rescue and law enforcement doing a great job should be rewarded fairly. The ones that aren't acting gratefully should be fired and made examples of in educational training. Learn from the past and fellow officers mistakes type of thing with examples. Don't just read laws, actually show what those laws mean. I think better training should be provided, along with yearly refresher courses and updates. I think maybe even having college requirements and licensing like doctors have to go to medical school and get licensed might even work. While we have good cops that didn't go to college, I feel they should be grandfathered in to keep their job if anything like this ever happened.
One thing I love about this world is everyone has cameras in their pockets and I feel that helps make everyone more honest.
There's also reports of cops taking bystanders phones as evidence for filming them beating up people... Which according to the ACLU is something they cannot do without a warrant? Here's an example of a Philly police officer demanding someone's phone for filming.
From my understanding, they could subpoena for a copy of the video. Which seems reasonable, then the phone owner could upload it to a public video hosting service such as YouTube or email it to them depending on the file size. Even something like Dropbox would probably work, I'd just ask to get written permission to delete the video once they downloaded it so it's not using my storage/resources to host it.
Sadly the dishonest media rarely covers when cops do good such as helping a homeless person, getting a family having a rough time food or even toys around Christmas. As the saying in media goes, if it bleeds it leads. The Miami Police Department is one of the first police departments in the world that has started vlogging on YouTube. Usually, people are vlogging and complaining about cops. These cops are actually vlogging themselves which I think is amazing. They are actually reaching out to their community and even people from around the world are tuning in. I think every department should get into this as it'd show that they are human also.
I remember a while back I seen something about another department that recently bought a Mac mini and was doing short videos in iMovie for people who are wanted and sharing them on social media to make people more aware. I also feel like police uniforms are negative being dark colored, sorta like the goth emo kids who cut themselves wear.
Also while I support body cameras, I don't really support a city-wide camera network like the United Kingdom has in London. It just seems freaky to be watched 24/7.
My thoughts on identity
Then also one thing I always found strange is that our modern society trusts people based on what they are wearing, driving, badges or cards. How do you really know a cop is truly a cop, a doctor is a doctor or your driver is even your driver? There're reports on the news of fake Uber drivers
I see that as a major security flaw. My debit card has a chip in it, ID cards and drivers licenses have a bar code and badges are just pieces of shiny metal... At least with the EMV standard and sim cards have an actual computer within the chip itself using cryptography. What if ID cards had something like that? If a card is stolen, revoke the keys on some sort of blockchain. To verify a card, someone would stick it into their phone or hold it close enough then the chip itself would actually sign a transaction verifying their identity. While I support chipped cards, I do not support chipped people.
My thoughts on current times
Even though we are living in one of the most screwed up times on earth. I try to stay positive. There's so much evil and bad in our world. There're so many people that drink their fluoride water, take their flu shots and play video games like mindless zombies. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. I feel like this election has woken up many people in this country. I do wish we lived in a better world, and it's a bit of a distraction from me being successful personally.
I get so upset sometimes knowing that the government master plan is to kill us all and Elon Musk is going to colonize mars while reptiles are controlling everything. Some of my friends on Facebook can't even tell if I'm joking or being serious anymore repeating stuff from the alt-right YouTube channels. The government is having chemical warfare on its own people. The vaccines are why the rate of autism is at an all time high, and then the juice boxes is what's making everyone gay.
I'm actually really happy that the republicans are finally coming around to accepting gay people. People are truly born gay or at a young age chemically manipulated by the government juice boxes. So I don't think we should hate gay people. We should love and respect them. I know of a Christian teacher at my old public school who would talk to gay kids telling them they aren't gay...
My quiz results
Anyways, enough of me ranting about how I think we could improve the world and then my favorite conspiracy theories.
Anyways, what's my results from that quiz?
Gary Johnson... Surprised. I guess I don't align 100% with republicans but I don't' align 100% with democrats either. I am surprised to see that I align 29% with Jill Stein even. I really haven't studied her much. Hillary is the very last candidate I'd side with, so I feel the quiz got that pretty correctly.
I haven't been following Johnson lately but I know people are saying he's not even a real Libertarian. One thing I, however, can agree with both Johnson and Stein on is that they are on the same team as me and Trump - the defeat Hillary team. We have to defeat a common enemy named Hillary Rotten Clinton... Or is it Rodham... I don't know - maybe the vaccines my parents and the government poisoned me with as a child are messing with my memory. Too bad the vaccines companies are exempt from lawsuits, else I'd sue the hell out of them and be a billionaire!!! Bigly!!!
Popular iSideWith users you side with... Glenn Beck! Did you know the government is trying to hack your computer using cars.gov? So while you are buying a car, your computer is the property of the federal government! Imagine if Facebook had a popup saying they owned your computer while you used it... Probably my most favorite Glenn Beck clip even though I've never really actively followed the guy.
Anyways, what are your results from the quiz and views you wish to share?
We have 2 days and 14 hours until the Election! I am super excited to see how this turns out. I hope it will be a prediction if things will get better or worse in our nation. Remember, Hillary has been in office over 30 years now and now she wants to finally change things lol.
Oh wow, this blog post would take about 5 pages to print without the images being loaded in... I feel like I should write a book at some point haha.
