Welcome to:
Hello Steemians 👋
How was your Holy Week? Did you go for a getaway and spend time with family and friends?
I spent my Easter Sunday gardening, watching our favorite tv series and I made mango float recipe.
Mango float dessert is one of the easiest Filipino dessert anyone can make. It's a no-bake dessert, you can make it in just 20 minutes and chill for at least 2 hours in the fridge. You will only need 4 to 5 ingredients. Ripe mangoes, graham crackers, double cream or all-purpose cream, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla essence.
This is also my submission for @Qurators Tasty Tuesday and @worldsdailyfood Salad/Dessert challenge.
So without further ado, below is the step by step.
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: Filipino
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Chilling time at least 2 hours
Serving: 5 to 6 persons
INGREDIENTES:
1 big ripe mango (thinly sliced)
1 pack graham crackers
8 ounces all-purpose cream (whipping or double cream)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 can condensed milk
METHOD:
- Whip or beat the all-purpose cream with a hand mixer or spatula to doubles the volume.
- Add the condensed milk and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and chill in the fridge.
- Wash, pat dry and peel the mangoes, slice in half then slice the cut halves lengthwise into thin strips and set aside.
- Create the first layer by Lining with a layer of Graham crackers at the bottom of a rectangular or square glass dish (or something similar).
- Gently pour 1/3 to 1/4 of the cream mixture on top of the crackers and spread using a spatula or spoon to cover up the cracker.
5.Top with mango slices. - Repeat the procedure for the second layer.
- Chill for at least 2 hours and indulge!
I used the left over thinly mango slices and a dandelion, an edible wild flower freshly pick from our garden to decorate a slice. The family and friends love it.❤️
Till our next recipe!
