Let's do a summary of the driving expenses for yesterday to Nikko, north of Tokyo.
The toll was around 9,000 Yen,
petrol around 4,000 Yen,
parking 500 Yen.
At night, we arrived Nakano for dinner, again we ordered via the machine, they served ramen, curry and gyu don, around 600 Yen per pax.
Yesterday night we parked at the cheapest parking lot around the neighbourhood. After 6pm to next morning 9am around 600 Yen. Althougt it was rather cheap, but to us still expensive. This is because in Malaysia, we easily get a car park at home!
By the way, this is a non guarded parking system which no operator or guard or attendant are needed, it has a smart automated blocking guard once we parked the car into parking space.
This morning, we woke up early and after breakfast and clean up soon we were ready to depart. This destination was one of my favourite of all, Mount Fuji. Although the weather forecast reported that it could be cloudy or rainy, but we still stick with our initial plan to visit Mt Fuji.
On our way, it was sunny bright, unbelievable! But at the same time, we could see the thick cloud was rolling over and over, this started to make me worry. But we believe to stay calm and be positive, probably the weather could make way for us this time, let's accept this challenge!
Soon we were getting closer and closer to Mt Fuji, we strolled around the town below Mt Fuji. Normally we should able to see Mt Fuji clearly from here, but what the Mt Fuji looked like now was a fluffy thick cloud, only sometimes its slightly appeared but soon was covered again, this made us so desperately!
So we decided to go Lake Kawaguchi one of the five lake to spend our time while waiting for the cloud to disperse. We sat along the lake, used our hand to paddle the cold water, hope that the cloud could move away soon.
But after sometimes, the thick cloud still there, a while appeared the left shoulder of Mt Fuji, another while appeared the right shoulder. Still it won't show up the whole face of Mt Fuji, so we could not help not to look at it, worried it will appeared and gone within the next blink of eye!
It was almost noon, and time for lunch. The kids started to craving for food, so we went to the next destination Oshino Hakkai, which was another destination near Mt Fuji, still we won't let go until we see the Mt Fuji.
Luckily Oshino Hakkai not far away, and it had convenient store like Lawson. Soon we chose a few delicious lunch box, about 500 - 600 Yen for adult portion and kids meal around 400 Yen.
