Take it right into their Living Room!!
I'm a big fan of wit and irony, which has led me, A Steadfast Steemian, back to Fakebook, to talk about Steemit. I'm sure many of you, especially newbies, have been going buck wild telling friends, family, pets, or anything with Googly Eyes on it about our community. In the end, I view it as a 'No Duh' argument to have the opporunity of having your creativity be rewarded on many levels including socially, intellectually, monetarily, etc.
I'm quite sure you've all found people that smile and nod, that is sounds great...but they do nothing. They're back to their mundane state of posting small talk or negativity. WHY??
Because people have been trained to not believe advertising!
Now, I already hear you saying that it's wasn't an ad....it was YOU telling them about Steemit. But I hate to tell you...it's still an ad. They are having information pitched to them...versus just passively putting it out there for them to do what they will. Suddenly, those who are even the slightest bit interested, give it a look.
You know what happens??!?! THEY have a great idea to give Steemit it a try! Sometimes it's just about getting the right tools or words put out for them to ''happen across' on their own. If they can't get past something that sounds 'too good to be true' sales pitch...take out the pitch. Just talk like we talk on here...about what we do on here...about our growing success on here!
So that's what has been leading me back to Fakebook...even though it can Pain me.
First I want to say that none of this is planned...it's totally organic. However it turned into a WONDERFUL discussion to just leave out there for the Fakebook population to see on their own. There was a post started by @winstonwolfe, that 'shocker', was about Steemit.
However, it very quickly led to a fantastic conversation between myself and someone I've been following on Steemit from pretty early on, @lauralemons! We covered the gambit of our 'building times', the good times, how we've used our Steemit Earnings to pay REAL WORLD BILLS! We got to talk with some other Steemians as well including @creativeusername who had a Great, Personal Post on PTSD that I had missed up to that point.
Think of how many aspects of Steemit we were able to convey to onlookers...NOT ONLY THE MONEY but built friendships, sharing passions, general positivity soul bearing stories, community support, and the list can go on!

Even though I know the pain, the strangeness of an upvote button that doesn't give any money, the feeling of being in the house of my enemy...BUT REVEL in the IRONY of Steemians, on Facebook, about Steemit!!
There's no sales pitch, just conversations between fantastic people! It's get through the Filter!!
