I must mention that these children live in a purely agricultural area surrounded by great vegetation, their parents are farmers par excellence, so my students have great knowledge about sowing, cultivating and tilling the land, many of these children they dream of being agricultural engineers, and of being able to cultivate the land.
I learn a lot from my students and at the same time I trained as an integral teacher. I'm always investigating. I consult several sources to bring them the most appropriate tools and techniques that are useful in the construction of the garden, hence the technique of the organic compound of natural waste as the sole source of fertilizer for the land.
The flowerbed or school garden will be made in the medium term with the objectives of: harvesting various items for the consumption of the students of our institution, encourage agricultural production, eat what we sow and as retribution to our mother nature when planting a plant. So in the course of it I will show you the progress achieved.
Management of the school flowerbed:
First encounter: that we had, my students and I chose the space to work, it is a small plot that is located in the back of the institution.

After having chosen the place we started with the day of weeding and cleaning the space, we used for it: rakes, hoes, picks and manually we were pulling the weeds from the root. With the help of the hoe the students made furrows in the ground. For the next meeting the students agreed to carry some trunks to make the rectangle where the land of the stonemason will be contained.
Second meeting: the students took the trunks, with help and supervision of several adults, including me and several of the workers who work in our institution, we proceeded to cut the trunks to a measure of 2.30m long by 1 meter wide, we also cut 10 stakes and began to form the rectangle. The children at all times were aware of every detail in the manufacture of the rectangle for the stonemason, were divided into teams of two for the other group to collect the land.

In the third meeting: after making the rectangle, part of the fertilized soil was collected and an organic compound was made (fertilizer created from three types of land containing great nutrients, among them we find: horse manure, chicken manure or chicken droppings, cocoa tree waste and others). We begin to fill our rectangle. We still need more land to fill the stonemason. In a next meeting we will finish this step.

We continue watering our oregano nursery, and the plants begin to anchor themselves to the ground, and the students manifest their enthusiasm in making a large orchard where they cultivate plants such as eggplant, chili, and tomato.

In the next post I will be showing the growth of the different plants that we sow. I must tell you that teaching to sow is a very rewarding activity, being in contact with nature teaches us how great nature is, in the way that allows us to meet with very peculiar beings. In passing, he teaches the children respect for this magical land and for our planet.
