In this post I want to share with you what has been going on in Novi Sad recently. For those of you who don't know, Novi Sad is home of one of the best and the biggest music festivals in Europe - Exit Festival. It all started in 2000 and even though a lot of things changed since then, the festival still gathers some of the most famous music names and thousands of visitors every year.
This was my 7th time going to Exit festival and this year was an incredible one. There is a group on Whatsapp I am a member of that is dedicated to people visiting Novi Sad during the festival and most people are found on Couchsurfing. Two years ago, when I was added to this group, I have met some of the most amazing people from all over the world. This year, even though I was only going to the festival for two days (in total it's four), I still had so much fun seeing some of my old friends who came back again and meeting many new people.

Day before the festival started, some people already arrived to Novi Sad so we agreed to meet in the evening and go out. Firstme and my friend @jadrankaajduk met a group of people and went for a drink. Then we joined another group of people in a small club and we had so much fun. We danced a lot! :) Then most people left but four of us stayed until the early morning.

On Thursday was the first day of the festival, but I didn't go that day. I still met everyone at the park, our usual meeting point, where we sit on the grass, have some drinks, talk and laugh, get to know each other before going to the fortress where the festival is.

My first day of the festival, woohoo! Again, another meeting at the park. First I met Benjamin, who I met two years ago and we were waiting for the others to come.
The first performance of the night I wanted to see was Ziggy Marley. He was sooo good! So many positive vibes in the atmosphere. I really enjoyed his performance and I would definitely go see him again.
That night we were also listening to French Montana, who I really don't listen, I didn't knew any of his songs and his performance was not my favorite. The one I was surprised by, in a positive way, was Turkish DJ Burak Yeter! Great DJ and we danced the entire time. Another one I would check out again in the future! In the morning, on our way from the fortress, we joined a random afterparty and even went for a morning coffee where we spent a few hours. I came home at 3pm! Craziness!

Another day I skipped but still joined the group at the park before they left, haha. After only 2 hours of sleep and a lot of lower back pain due to a lot of walking and dancing all night, I was tired at this point but still managed to stay up later that I thought I would.
Sunday, 15-Jul-18
Last day of the festival and the day I went with my lovely group. This night we were listening to Martin Garrix who smashed it (I was listening to him in 2015 and he was amazing as well) and we danced like crazy. I was a little bit disappointed with Mahmut Orhan's set who I though would be a lot better. After that David Guetta was on, but since we were in the crowd and couldn't even move, 3 of us decided to leave and sit somewhere on the side where we could still hear the music but also chill a bit and talk. Then we left to Latino stage (I was there a lot on Friday as well) and it also included A LOT of dancing.
This is the only photo I have from Sunday

Festival is over and many people left to Belgrade to catch a flight back home or continue traveling. But some of them left and we decided to met up for a drink.
Of course, we ended up going out and we had a great time!
Since it was Monday, the night life end a little bit earlier than usual so we went to our friend's place, listed to music and talked until the morning. I slept there and came home in the afternoon (again). Last night I finally had some decent sleep but I still feel messed up, haha.
I already miss everyone and the city feels so empty now but I am so happy that I had a chance to meet amazing people and share these beautiful memories with them and my "old" friends, haha. Can't wait for the next year!
