The Second Book of the Alienbutt Saga. The Rise of Mr Fluffy. Part 45.

The Galactica agent watched the cameras in disbelief as the attacker coolly picked up the kneeling assassin's sword and casually decapitated him before doing the same to the other two. Six of the assassins had been easily dispatched by this robotic attacker with ease and still it approached him. On the verge of panic he began to grab essential items and stuff them into a bag.

Death Ray stood with the remaining assassins. They had watched the latest attempt on their target through small screens on their gauntlets. They stood on the flat roof of a building off to the left of the latest encounter.
“Opinions?” Death Ray asked of the others, glad that her voice sounded calm.
“We are overmatched. This opponent is shielded against our firearms and has reflexes even faster than our own. We need more information on what we face and the weapons he has. We should retreat and face him again with support so we can learn more and maybe find a weakness,” replied one.
The others murmured agreement. “I agree. We order the agent to launch his defence missiles to distract the ship in orbit, then we make our escape in the agent’s shuttle.”

A large crash behind them caused all four to spin, weapons drawn. Somehow their opponent had found them and now stood on the far side of the roof. The four assassins spread out cautiously, watching for any hint of movement from their opponent.
“Are you leaving so soon? The game has only just begun,” he asked.
“I just remembered I have a prior engagement,” replied Death Ray, noticing the large cracks in the roof where their opponent had landed. “We'll be right back, so who do we ask for?”
A soft purring came from the metallic figure. “Funny, you humans always try humour when scared. I am Mr Fluffy, and soon I will be known by everyone.”
Death Ray smiled and then all four assassins opened fire, not aiming at Mr Fluffy but at the floor at his feet, Mr Fluffy raised his arms to return fire just as the roof collapsed and he disappeared.
Death Ray dived to her right but felt a sting on her arm, the assassin to her left was less fortunate and was lifted back and over the side of the roof as bullets ripped through his chest. Rolling to her feet Death Ray threw a thermal grenade through the hole in the roof and then jumped as a fireball exploded upwards and the building shook before collapsing in on itself.

Hitting the floor hard Death Ray gasped as the wound on her arm sent out waves of pain, but she staggered to her feet and ran for their agent’s office, the remaining two assassins a step behind. By the time they reached the office the agent stood with the door open.
“Quickly, your opponent has just climbed out of the wreckage of the building and is heading this way,” he said in a panicked voice.
Death Ray cursed. “Can nothing stop that thing?” She looked back to where a cloud of smoke still rose. “We need your emergency shuttle.”
