#35: DON"T KILL THEM

”No! Don’t kill them!” Shelby heard a female in distress. That got his attention. He looked toward the foot of the operating table on which he sat, and saw a frantic female pleading with him.

Right attractive Shelby thought. Nice high round ones. Cheekbones that is.

“Don’t kill them.” she repeated. “_ It’s not their fault. They didn’t do it._”

Shelby was still in agony. He was angry. He was in a rage. Fire was coursing up and down his veins. He was seeing red. He wanted to kill something. Anything. He wanted to rampage like a bull and destroy everything in sight.

“And just what do you think that will get you?” His Daemon asked him.

“Don’t you think you’ve been locked up long enough? If you kill those two you’ll never be let free.” She said. “They’ll stick you in a hole and never let you out. Yeah...yeah. Get over it. Go to sleep now and let momma fix”

Shelby zoned out and felt at peace. He dozed off. For the first time in forever he felt at ease.
