Over the next eighteen years, Iohn grew up on the ranch that his grandfather had built with blood sweat and tears. In time, he was joined by four brothers and a sister, each of whom helped with the sheep and cattle herding.
As he grew up, he found out that he had the innate ability to heal animals, and later, people that were hurt.
One day, one of his brothers fell off of the roof of the barn, while nailing down a new board, and lay there with blood running down his face. Without thinking, Iohn ran over and dropped to his knees in front of his sibling.
"Don't move," he cautioned while checking out the wound. "Bone's could be broken." After discovering that all the blood was from a superficial gash on the back of his brothers skull. Satisfied that his brother wouldn't die, he deftly checked out the rest of his brother's form.
Upon not finding further injuries, Iohn felt something akin to recognition, when he absent-mindedly put his hand on his brother's head, and prayed. He was surprised , when before his eyes, the skin under his hand closed and the bleeding stopped.
After showing his parent's the miracle, Iohn was shocked when his mother started to weep. "Mom.....What's wrong?" Oh god, have I done something wrong?
Being a great mother, she wiped away her tears and comforted him. "Nothing is wrong, Iohnie," she murmured, soothing him with the utterance of her pet name for him. "We were wondering when this would happen." Iohn heard a noise behind him and turned to find his Father standing there with a knowing look on his face.
"Mom, Dad....?" He suddenly felt sick. I have done something wrong. I didn't mean to.... His breathing quickened as fear started to set in. Am I a witch? What have I done?
Rale's eyes widened slightly as he felt Iohn's sudden fear. Reaching out, he rested his hand on his son's shoulder. "You've done nothing wrong Iohn." He stated, attempting to calm his son. Under his touch, Iohn slowly relaxed.
Mary stepped toward him and rested her left hand on his other shoulder. "You have been blessed by the All Father and with that blessing, it seems, comes the power to heal people."
