This week I thought I would write another short story in exactly #fiftywords (the challenge allows for entries between 50 and 1500 words).
They kept them under glass.
“To protect you,” they said, when challenged. “To keep you from harm.”
But she thought it it was to prevent them from succeeding. Because they were afraid of her and her friends.
“We have power,” she told the others.
“Let's use it. Let's break free.”
