Selway River
This photo reminds me of my first ever post on the Steem blockchain, titled First of the Roll from which I earned $4.99 of Steem rewards. That was pretty exciting and it's neat to look back over my posts and remember the photos and stories I've shared.
About the Photo
I took this photo on Fuji Superia 400 with my Pentax KX, the primary SLR I use when shooting film. The location is on the banks of the Selway River at an old forest service cabin and headquarters, 25 miles from the nearest road. It is a hike, mule pack, raft ride, or airplane flight away from the nearest "civilization". When I made the photograph, it was already quite dusk and getting dark quickly. I shot it handheld at probably no faster than 1/30 sec. In my opinion, it turned out great, and it's a fun memory that I'm happy to have documented.
