Good morning steemit. Time flies when you are having fun. My week holiday is almost coming to an end. One more day and it is back to work. Reloaded and ready to tackle the high season.
But let's talk smoothie now. The other day we harvested some bananas from the garden, so today's smoothie is with a lot of bananas. I just love the banana cinnamon combo.
And we have more bananas to come. The garden is packed with them. Pure bliss. Since we moved to Cambodia, we have always had some banana trees and fresh bananas from the garden. However, this time the garden has some of the biggest bunches I have ever seen.
First mangoes of the season are also getting ready. Exciting, fruity times coming up.
BANANA CINNAMON ALMOND MILK MORNING DRINK 🍌🍌🍌
INGREDIENTS (SERVES 2)
3 cups banana (in my case, homegrown)
Ground cinnamon to taste (I used a lot because I love the taste)
2 cups bok choy or spinach
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
2 tbsp hemp hearts
DIRECTIONS
- Blend almond milk and bok choy until smooth. Add all other ingredients and blend again. If you have a high-speed blender you can throw everything in at once. Add more almond milk or water if the smoothie is too thick for you.
- Optional: Supercharge your smoothie with superfoods such as hemp hearts, chia seeds or goji berries. I used goji berries and chia seeds for this one.
