Whether you are new to green smoothies or a year-long addict just like me, I am sure you will love this one. Though I know it is not easy to get fresh moringa in most parts of the world, if you live in a mild climate I would recommend everybody to plant some in the garden.
We planted a seed in the garden only 7 months ago, after about a month or two we could start harvesting its leaves and the tree has grown so big. It is by far the fastest growing tree I have ever encountered and it so good for you.
Next, to housing some protein, moringa has all the nutrient our body needs on a daily basis to function properly. In some parts of the world, this humble tree is fighting malnutrition and adding people to stay on top of their health.
MORINGA MORNING LOVE ღ ღ ღ
INGREDIENTS (SERVES 2 FOR BREAKFAST)
2 cups fresh moringa (if not available use spinach and add some moringa powder)
2 cups unsweetened coconut water
2 kiwifruit
1.5-1 cup frozen tropical fruits (we used a mix of papaya and pineapple)
1 big ripe banana (frozen to chill the smoothie and add extra creaminess)
Optional topping: chia seeds
DIRECTIONS
- Blend coconut water and moringa until smooth. Add all other ingredients and blend again. If you have a high-speed blender you can throw everything in at once. Add more water if needed.
- Optional: Supercharge your smoothie with superfoods such as hemp hearts, chia seeds or goji berries. I used chia seeds this time.
