Mangoes in the backyard aren't ready for harvest as yet!

There's a ladder where my brother's workshop is...on the 2nd step up, i saw these many green fruits so i decided to search for any almost-ripe mango among the leaves and branches. Till i got to the roof, my concentration of finding one went out of the window seeing these hanging fruits.

Native Mangoes galore

These are native mangoes, similar to Sta. Elena's, though ours are way smaller. My friend from Cebu who have a mango plantation did say that the smaller variety is sweeter than those bigger in sizes.

These are not for export as well but rather for local consumption, we prefer to just go and look for ready to eat mangoes anytime of the day, but more so in the morning.

There are 3 mango varieties in the backyard, but this kind is better eaten when ripe, the rest are better eaten when raw, prepared as a salad or made into pickles.

Maybe we will harvest in a couple of weeks...until then.
