I have visited 2-Star Michelin Restaurant Noma in Copenhagen (rated world best restaurant in 2010/2012/2013/2014) a while back.
The restaurant is located in an old warehouse in Christianshavn (Central Copenhagen) and is run by chef René Redzepi.
Noma is receiving 100.000 booking request per month, so you have to be flexible with your dates. We received a call in the morning that a spot had opened and we jumped into the plane and went to Copenhagen.
It has received an insane amount of awards (despite having 435 diners went ill, after eating at NOMA in 2013 due to Norovirus)

The Restaurant

The Kitchen
The Food
Noma offers an Interpretation of Nordic/Scandianvian cuisine. I am using the word Interpretation, because the food they offer, you have not eaten anything like this before.
"Vegetables and foraged ingredients take centre stage, but don’t be fooled, this isn’t your ordinary restaurant fare. Simple-sounding dishes such as apples and lemon thyme, cabbage leaves and white currants, new Danish potato and nettle and sliced raw squid and kelp provide explosions of taste and texture, with ingredients shown in a different light to how many will have previously experienced them. " Quote from the worlds best 50
We had the full 12 course menu (appr. 280$)
Beautiful Food (yes we had to eat that sponge, which was not a sponge at all)
The food is stunning

You expect a dessert, it turns out to be fish

They fool you into thinking they are serving you a bone, while this was part of our main course and was a mousse !

Dessert ? NOPE -> Mass cooked in chocolate
Current Menu
So this restaurant is absolutely incredible.
You are served food, which is best described as art... !
The taste is so incredible, it blows you away for hours.
They create the perfect illusion, you expect that chocolate cookie to be a dessert, while it is fish covered with chocolate. They serve you a bone, but its filled with fish mousse. They serve you something looking like flowers, and you can eat the whole flower, it turns out to be seaweed..
The best thing was the special Danish Butter they had with bread. That was the best butter i have ever eaten in my life!! (I would pay 100$ for 100g of that Butter)
Please have a look at the pictures, and if you want to go to the restaurant, hurry as the restaurant is closing end of 2016 ! (please ask where i can buy that butter!)
