Vorschmack or forshmak ~ (my version of the recipe)

Vorschmack or forshmak is an originally East European dish made of salty minced fish or meat. Different variants of this dish are especially common in Jewish and Finnish cuisine. Some varieties are also known in Russian Ukrainian and Polish cuisine.


we need:
herring 1
onion 1
a little bit of garlic 1
sour apple 1
butter(or margarine) 100 gr
coriander
dry ground ginger
black pepper salt
You can add boiled boiled egg if desired.

Use the blender to grind of herring fillets, an apple, a small amount of garlic and spices, butter. Raw onion crushed separately and then whip together.

A ready forshmak need to put in the refrigerator to cool the mass. Then put in a dish.

Served on a fragrant rye bread.
