And I am ready to answer any questions you may have concerning all my post articles. Be sure to ask in my post comment box below.
Yes, today we are on another episode of #Foodporn, when I said FoodPorn most of us will think otherwise, hahahaha๐ค. Nope, let your mind be straight just like mine, what am equally saying in hences is just food preparation series. That's all.๐. We will be driving ourselves through an African Indigenous Delicious food Delicacy called Amala.
What Is Amala(Food)?
I have my own replacement for every word and sentences. So, I say to me, Amala is a type of food gotten from either yam Flour or Plantain flour. It depends on individual choices and it depends on the prescription which you are giving. To some people they are told to just eat only the Plantain Flour not the yam Flour and vice versa because of one illness it the other. For some people they can Consume both in as much they see it available just like me ๐๐. I do Consume anyone. It is all delicious ๐๐.
How To Prepare Amala Yam Flour ( Step by Step โฌ๏ธ)
I have some Series of step in store for you guys and I want you to set your mind into a kitchen meal flavour standard.
Materials Needed For Preparing Amala Food Flour.
- Neat pot
- Mini Bowl
- Cooler
- Yam Flour
- Mini Bowl
- Hand Bowl
- Seive
- Turning Stick
- Nylon
- Plastic Spatula
Step 1.
In my step 1, what I did was that I place my neat empty pot on the cooking gas and pour in some water. This water is not necessarily depends on the pot size but it depends on the individual discretion. Maybe you are four in your family, then you add the one that can serve your family members as well. That's all I did here in step 1.
Step 2.
After pouring the Yam Flour inside the white sieve, I also use hand to pieces all those mould Flour so as to sieve easily and equally. I did this because I saw some yam Flour in a mould form so I had to use my hands to smoothen it as it should be as in Flour mood.
You can actually see the reminant of the yam Flour inside the sieve. Assuming am so lazy to Seive the Yam Flour that's how we are going to eat Yam Flour waste as as well.
Did you see how smooth the already Seive Yam Flour looks ? Hahaha. It's good to follow procedures. No shortcut here๐ฏ
Can you still see some big balls inside the Yam Flour? It because we partially exposed it to the atmosphere. Too much air.
I had to use my hand to level it up to smoothen it .
So I had to Seive the Yam Flour first while the water was still yet to boil. You can do so many things at a time. Just like an Android mobile phone Multi task.
Step 3.
Before the water get hot as well, I had to bycut and pour little bit of ordinary water here for washing the spatula and the turning stick and also my hands while making use of the cooking pot.
Step 4.
In my step 4, I washed the turning stick and the plastic Spatula, ready for action.
Step 5.
In step 5, what I did was that I opened the pot while the water was boiling at 100ยฐยฉ and I used the mini Bowl to collect some hot water and keep separately. I will definitely be of use later.
Step 6.
Yes, in Step 6, it is very important to note this steps when you want a successful outcome and it is just that it needs more patience for this, when I poured in the already Seive Yam Flour I used the turning stick to quickly adjust and turn it in a circular motion form. Yes just like 360 degree . And it need more concentration and also constant speed to make the outcome boost up well. When I did this for few minutes and turned it for 10 minutes on the fire. What next?
Step 7.
In step 7, we are now on the business after pouring the Yam Flour and stirring the pot on just one side making 360, I had to bring the pot down because it so hot that I could not hold it up there and stir well. After I brought it down, I continually stirring it for another 10 minutes to make a great fine face texture at the end. You can see the due process how it's been done successfully.
This is the first stage of turning. Yes.๐๐ค.
Step 8.
In step 8, I had to turn it very well so as not to have any traces of lumbs in it or seed. Anyone you call it is accepted.
Step 9.
I had to place it on the fire the second time again to make it done within 10 minutes more. You need to put it on the fire and reduce the heat supply to make it more done. I had to use the plastic Spatula to remove those Yam Flour paste at the edges of the pot as shown
Step 10.
After using the turning stick to make it done again, I have to clean the edges of the pot with the plastic Spatula and place it on the fire once more. Then cover it again for 10 minutes.
Step 11.
- Ugly face ๐...
- Ugly Face ๐๐...
- Ugly Face ๐ญ๐ญ ๐ญ
After turning it the second time, I had to bring it down again and turn it well the second time to give a finer look and shape . Yes, it is necessary unless if you want to eat a outward meal with ugly face.
At first you will experience an ugly face while turning it the second time because of the water you added. But when you continue turning it, it will surely give a a fine look and an appealing look.
Step 12.
It looks more inviting here again. Yes!
You can see the fine face after few minutes of constant turning. It is necessary for you to turn at one direction so that it will be easier for you to handle. For me, I always love to turn it from the right to the left handside. But you can adjust if you are not comfortable.
Step 13
- The white Nylon in action.
In step 13, I had to introduce my white Nylon which I used to dish out and keep the Yam Flour paste after the second turning. Some people may prefer the black one or better still prefer the use of food dishes straight up. But as for me and my family we prefer the white Nylon.
After the finally dishing out inside the White Nylon I had to dish out my soup as well. For this kind of meal you can eat it with draw soup or just normal Vegetable Soup like Melon Soup. But here today, I use Jute Soupwith Amala so delicious and tempting to eat. Yeah.
Come All ๐, Come All๐๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐
Here Is The Final Outcome of the Delicious Delicacy Combined with Jute Soup And FISH.
