Hi Steemians! Here is my entry for the Steemit Culinary Challenge 10.
This is a real challenge because I have guests at my house tonight. Also I find that the association of Chinese and British cooking quite complicated.

The basis of my recipe come from this website Poulet sauté aux noix de cajou
For English ingredients I chose to make honey carrots and classic potatoes.
- Potatoes
- Soya sauce (oups a mistake see the end of post)
- Chicken
- Red bell Pepper
- Honey
- Carrots
- Butter
- Ginger
- Cashew nuts
- Maizena (cornstarch)
- Garlic
- onions
- Cayenne Pepper
- Red pepper for decoration (oops I forgot see end of post)

Now I'm writting this post I assume I've made a lot of mistakes because I was in a hurry with guest at home it's hard to cook take pictures and don't forget ingredients :(
Before you start know that the difficulty is to cook everything at the same time. The cooking time is different for each food.
- 10 minutes for potatoes
- 30 minutes for carrots
- For chicken it depends on you and your skill
So let's go,
- Peel the potatoes, wash them and cook in boiling water with salt

- Peel the carrots and cut them in half lengthwise

- In a hot pan with oil cook the cashew nuts, don't let them burn you have to fried them and set aside

- Cut chicken into thin slice

In the same pan cook the chicken for 3 or 4 minutes and set aside (I forgot to take photo :( one mistake )
Cut the red pepper and in the same pan cook them until they are smooth and...set aside

- Shop the onion and garlic very finely

- Cut a thin slice of ginger (not too much as it give a lot of taste!)

- In the very same pan cook onion and garlic ans ginger for 10 minutes

- Dissolve a chicken broth in hot water and add it to the onion/garlic/ginger

- Add the cashew nuts and cayenne pepper

- Add maizena dissolved in a half glass of cold water into the mix
- Add the red pepper cover and cook for 10 minutes

- In another hot pan add in the dissolved chicken broth with 250 ml hot water and add the carrots. Salt and pepper.

- When carrots are cooked enough reduce the chicken broth almost dry and then add 30g butter and 2 teasp of honey.

Let the mix reduce again and carrots get impregnated with honey
That's all folks! Dress on a plate
Bon appétit!

It was so good, I'm not used to cooking this kind of dish it was a bit crazy. I also forgot in the rush to put my soy sauce :( but don't worry it don't change all the taste because I put chicken broth. I had also prepared red peppers to put in decoration but I also forgot them olalaaaa not good! But it's just decoration and don't worry again I don't forgot the red bell peppers! ;)
You really have to try carrots with honey and the sweet salt association with cashew nuts is very pleasant.
