Unlike the majority of people I've met I can't stand barbequed meats. In fact I rarely enjoy the taste of beef and certain pork cuts. But, above that, I just can't stand the taste of most barbecue sauces on anything. Korean BBQ, on the other hand, is amazing!

There's only one place in my hometown that offers authentic Korean food and they don't have Korean BBQ. But, I was lucky enough to try it during a week-long trip to Seoul back in '10. Apparently the typical way to have Korean BBQ, like several East Asian meals, is to cook it at the table. This way everyone gets exactly the rarity and sauces they prefer. I'm not enough of a foodie to describe how it tastes beyond "delicious."
I think a lot of Americans would like a East Asian foods. When I lived in Japan I discovered many foods I didn't expect. But, it's difficult to introduce friends and family to these dishes because Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cuisine isn't clearly differentiable here. It's all so Americanized.
I had a lot of fun watching Korean girls trying our BBQ. We don't often think of how others might view our customs and cuisines.
The only thing is these specialized sauces, like the raspberry glaze, aren't quite typical American BBQ. I would have liked to see them trying Kansas City, Louisiana, or South Carolina BBQ styles. Still, I was entertained. So, guys, what were your reactions to the video?
