Hello community! Today I'm going to share a very simple recipe of mushroom puffs. In my previous posts I told you that I picked mushrooms in the forest. As I have picked a lot of mushrooms, I decided to bake some puffs.
Igredients:
- 500g of puff pastry
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 1 egg
FOR FILLING:
- 700g of mushrooms (I have honey fungis)
- 2 onions
- salt and pepper
- vegetable oil or butter for frying
Instructions:
1. First of all, boil mushrooms for 20-25 minutes.
2. Heat the frying pan, add some oil and fry mushrooms for about 10 minutes. Add onions, season mushrooms with salt and pepper and fry another 10 minutes.
3. Now when the filling is ready, it's time to prepare puff pastry. You can buy it in any supermarket. Before cutting the pastry, make sure it is unfrozen. Cut pastry into several square pieces. Put some filling on one part of the square and cover with another part of it. You can make figure cuttings on the empty end of the square. As the pastry is a bit sticky, put some flour on your hands.
4. When all the puffs are formed, put them onto the baking tray (you can cover the tray with the butter layer or with baking paper) and cover their upper sides with yolk.
5. Heat the oven to 190-200C and bake puffs during 15 minutes till they are golden.
Enjoy!
I brought mushroom puffs at work and shared with my colleagues. They were happy:)
Hope you like my recipe.
