Welcome to Food Adventure #7!
Brunching at a cool outdoor garden cafe. Stick around as this place is really funky and cool!
Today, we visited a very cool outdoor garden cafe that is operated from a repurposed caravan/trailer in the middle of the suburbs - introducing Kith 'n' Chow.
I've been wanting to try out this cafe for quite a while now but have finally gotten around to it as the place @crystaljl & I were planning to eat brunch was closed, definitely a blessing in disguise as Kith 'n' Chow did not disappoint. Driving around this suburb, you definitely wouldn't expect to find such a cute and unique garden oasis in the middle of nowhere that serves amazing food, juices and smoothies. By nowhere, I mean, in a normal suburb, surrounded by normal suburban houses, with a random outdoor cafe on one of the street corners.

They're famous for their mixed breakfast/brunch platters that are served on a large wooden board that takes up most of the space on the table. Instead of giving you a typical table number after you've ordered, they give you a table card, which I thought was really cute and unique (see below). We opted for the mixed platter for two and two different fruit juices.
Sunrise fruit juice & King of Hearts table "card"
What did we order?
Mixed Brunch Platter for Two: Fried eggs, grilled haloumi, spicy chorizo, shortcut bacon, smoked salmon, cherry tomatoes, toasted sourdough, maple granola, Greek yoghurt, green salad and beetroot hummus.
Pinkle Fresh Juice: Watermelon, apple, lemon
Sunrise: Carrot, orange, pineapple, beetroot
What's the verdict?
Everything on the platter was delicious and it was a really nice spread of different types of food. The hardest part was trying to decide what to eat first, and how to eat it all together. I started off with the hot food and decided to make a few mini-food stacks on top of my sourdough, before finishing off with the delicious house-made granola with greek yoghurt.
The juices were light and refreshing, and the perfect accompaniment to this delicious brunch.
Mini-stack #1: beetroot hummus, smoked salmon, salad, grilled haloumi and chorizo
Mini-stack #2: bacon, grilled haloumi, beetroot hummus and fried egg
Greek yoghurt topped with housemade maple granola and fruit
I will definitely be back in the future to try other menu items!
Next time I want to try either their buttermilk waffles or truffle mushrooms on sourdough - YUM! They also do dessert platters on Friday & Saturday nights so this will definitely be on my radar for future dessert cravings.
I almost forgot to mention that they are a pet-friendly cafe, however I won't be bringing Nova with me as she gets very excited and behaves badly when there are a lot of people and other pets around. I would love to but then I wouldn't be able to eat the delicious food.
Thank you for stopping by and hope you feel like going out to eat a delicious brunch for yourself now!
Until next time! Thank you again!
