Describe your shoes

Describe your shoes and tell me
What do they reveal about you?
'Cause we often hear that clothes make the man,
But is it the same for a woman and her shoes?

Should it mean something interesting
If her shoes are nice, pricey, and new?
What about if they're old and worn-out
Like a solid, dependable crew?

And does it matter if the shoes she's wearing
Can take her to the mountains to hike a trail or two?
Or if she prefers her footwear
To be towering over other boots?

But a woman is more than what she wears on her foot
And thinking otherwise is like judging the cover of a book.
For she wears more than one pair,
With the many roles, she carries through.

Like the mother who likes her heels in the morning,
Then wears her flats to tend to her brood.
Or the ballerina wearing dainty slippers when dancing,
Before changing it up with her rugged cowboy boots.

They can all be worn by the same woman
And no matter the style, character, and hue.
What matters is you don't judge a girl by her footwear
'Cause she is so much more than her shoes.
