Day 257: 5 Minute Freewrite: Tuesday - Prompt: state (My Day 4)

Well after the events of yesterday and the Steem stoppage, I am actually more confident in the state of the STEEM blockchain than previously. IT performed well in a crisis. The chain froze and automatically protected everyone's money. A dodgy transaction triggered a bug in the system, and safeguards kicked in.

Witnesses pulled all-nighters - Thank you to all of them by the way - and a fix was implemented.

This shows that The blockchain is in a great state. It protects our investment, and order can be restored in a timely fashion. This gives great confidence in the future. Yes a weakness was exposed, maliciously or inadvertently - who knows, but it was fixed and no-one lost anything (except a bit of time and a few votes)

Happy days, Steem on steemians and thanks to all that worked through the night to fix things and keep this ball rolling.

Have a great day STEEM.
