Day 10: 5 Minute Freewrite: Sunday - Prompt: Bamboo

Bamboo is the reason I had to start this post over. What happens when nothing is coming to mind as you write? I’ll simply keep writing until something catches a spark.

Did you ever read the book ”Eats, Shots, and Leaves?” It deals with the importance of the commas placement. From the above passage, you can see the story playing out. If it were written like this, ”eats shoots and leaves,” a whole different story comes about.

In the former one, I see a man who eats, shoots, and leaves. In the latter, I see a panda who eats shoots and leaves. Both are very different stories.

I hope you now see the importance of where you place your punctuation. You wouldn’t want someone reading your story going out and killing a poor panda all because your commas were not in their proper places.
