Hello my lovely friends of Steemit!
I hope you are all having a wonderful start of the week! Some days back I participated for the first time ever in this amazing challenge called fruitsandveggiesmonday and organized by the lovely @lenasveganliving!
I was a little late in submitting my entry last time, but this week as promised to her, I am sending my entry on time!
Summer is knocking the door here in Mauritius! Yes I love this season so much...one of the main reason is that I will get so much of amazing tropical fruits to enjoy!
Yesterday, while having a tour in the nearby village, I noticed the first mangoes of the season, they are little expensive right now, but in couple of weeks, the price will drop!
I saw some lovely soursop too! Soursop is so tasty, i just love it!
The first picture you saw above is a type of olive found in Mauritius, it is very sour and here they mainly use in in pickles!
I also went to visit some families of my husband, the place they live is really well known as the place to cultivate fruits and vegetables!
Looking in their little garden, I saw some beautiful strawberries , I could not resist to pick them and eat on the spot!
Mint is one of my favorite herbs, I took home a bag full of these! I will use them mainly for my tea!
While walking around, I noticed something weird in the ground...what was this? After looking close and rub a bit, I came to know it was ginger down there! There were a lot of these!
Overall it was a lovely day and I did bring some nice and fresh veggies home to prepare for the days to come!
