When I think of art, Van Gogh comes to mind. So does Monet, Kahlo, and Picasso.
This, dear friends, is me just screwing around and I have a hard time justifying the use of the #art tag, especially when I'm such a novice.
And to kick myself even harder, I've miserably failed the 30 drawings in 30 days challenge (11 out of 15 ain't bad, is it?), but today I was inspired by a couple of new tags that are being heavily promoted today.#funny, #news, and #til (Today I Learned)
After a couple of dreary days and still no rain, I needed something to cheer me up a little bit and getting my watercolors out was just the ticket!

...you can see why I might have a hard time topping that!

It seems as if SteemFest has rejuvenated many and I am personally glad to see that there is a (re)newed focus on community engagement because I've been advocating that from my first days as a Steemit tadpole.
And know this, my dear friends and followers - they are looking for engaging COMMENTS!In fact, it was clearly stated in @the-alien's post that they will be actively seeking comments.
So I'm going to give you a couple of helpful tips that I live by, especially if you're in any kind of curation guild or using a bot
- Check your username on Steemd.com and see what's been upvoted on your behalf.
- Visit those links of personal interest to you and LEAVE A COMMENT.
- Curate responsibly. If you find that your guilds and bots are not voting as you might normally, it may be time to make adjustments.

Final thoughts
Okay... Here is my sad attempt at justifying using all the tags.
The fact that some of the Who's Who on Steemit are making a slight pivot into conversing with us is #news
#til that there are still some very cool people like @the-alien who are new to me and I'm gladly following him now.
