Banana Tea For A Good Night's Sleep
If you need a good evening drink that won't keep you up, this is an excellent one to try. I like to make enough for a couple of cups and then I can one pint for winter time. You can process in any pot that will cover your jar with water. Look up the processing times for your altitude. I use the time for the fruit that needs the most. The bananas and ginger are the main part of this and then I like to add one other fruit. This time I used apples.
Cut up 6-8 fresh bananas, a couple apples and some sliced fresh ginger.
Add about 4-6 cups water.
Add cinnamon and simmer
Simmer one hour. Let cool some and then mash up slightly and add honey to taste.
