Positively Optimistic: Random Happy Gardening Notes To help You Smile

It's a great quote by Marcus Tullius Cicero, and so true, don't you think?

I have yet to meet a gardener who isn't optimistic, positive and generally happy by nature.

When I saw this hand-made sign, I just had to take a picture because it brought an instant smile to my face.

I suppose we could add to the original quote so that it reads:

"If you have a garden, a library and Steemit, you have everything you need."

If I've laid the stage correctly and you've spent any time gardening, you should be wearing a smile, by now.

If not, I've got a few more tricks up my sleeve...

Like this...happy little cantaloupe seed that I saved from my compost. It's miraculous isn't it? I rescued it and planted it and it survived but didn't bear fruit. We (the seed and I) both tried and had a darn good time in the process.

Or, how about my "new to me" Smart car. It also puts a smile on my face because it looks so small, but it's really a workhorse. It surprisingly has a lot of cargo space and I routinely pick up large quantities of vegetables with it.

Like, 26 butternut squash and 1 acorn squash. (The other flat of squash is on my passenger seat because as you can see, they still had clay on them and I wanted to keep the tray resting as securely as I could during transportation.)

Or, how about this? It's one massive Dinosaur Kale plant and 10 pounds of apples!

Or, these stalks!!! They make me laugh every time I see them because they required a hand-saw to cut them.

The leaves made the best kale chips ever!

While I'm at it with big veggies, here's the largest gourd I've ever seen. It won a 3rd place ribbon at the Fall Fair.

Not to be out-done by the largest cabbage I have ever seen! LOL

Or, the best wheel-barrel load of veg, all grown by the same gardener!

My philosophy is to keep growing and choose "happy". I do hope you are smiling.

I welcome your comments and invite you to follow me on my journey.
