There are just 5 more days left before the end of the Golos token crowdsale, so if you still haven't purchased some and would want to do not miss your chance to do so. The Russian Steemit alternative under license Golos is based on Steem/Steemit, though they will most likely take a different route in further development and may not follow the same economic conditions like Steem does. The Golos community is centered around the Russian-speaking users around the world and the main content there is in Russian language, though you can still posts in other languages such as English.
Earlier Steemit users will also get some Golos tokens (based on their Steem tokens they held by the end of September or a bit over 8000 Steemit users) and can use their login credentials from Steemit to access the Golos community as well. Golos is still currently in alpha and has not started paying for the content published by users, this is expected to happen in January next year. The crowdsale is for 60% of the initial distribution, 10% will go for existing Steemit users, 26% for the creators, developers and early investors, 3% for the witnesses and about 1% for the initial payout to authors and curators.
So far the crowdsale of Golos tokens has accumulated a bit over 285 BTC from users, including my little contribution of about 0.1 BTC that should get me about 10000 tokens according to the latest stats. Though if you spend that much at the moment it will be worth less tokens as I have used the maximum 25% bonus and for the last 5 days left there are not extra bonuses available for the crowdsale.
