National Graphene Association Formed To Promote Graphene In US Market

Graphene is a remarkable substance that has many researchers around the world experimenting to see what sort of things this material can be applied to.

We have seen it in the healthcare field, in electronics, on bike helmets, even in the fashion industry. It really seems like graphene has no limits and there are still many people around the world who have yet to learn about this amazing material and all that it can offer.

Graphene is said to be seeing tremendous success in European and Asian markets, but the US isn't doing as well in comparison.

To try and fill that gap, a new National Graphene Association (NGA) has been formed to try and spread awareness about the material throughout the US market and to promote American graphene.

Their mission is to connect, innovate, and promote commercialization of graphene.

The association was launched by an Oxford-based company,New Media Lab LLC, and said to be founded by Ed Meek. The association is also said to have offices in D.C. And Nashville, TN. Meek was a former assistant vice chancellor at the University of Mississippi and he has said that he firmly believes that graphene is going to greatly impact every single industry.

Though there has been a lot of research in the area of graphene already over the past several years, there is still a long way to go. It probably won't be much longer before we really start to see a lot more products in our everyday lives that use graphene.

Since graphene was first discovered, there have been tens of thousands of different patents that have been awarded. One of the biggest leaders of that patent race is said to be Samsung having filed over 1,000 patents themselves.

The NGA has also launched a website to promote their cause, GrapheneEntrepreneur.com.
