The Steemit Community
The Steemit community has a broad variety of vibrant characters who tend toward the anarchist heart, but those that don't tend to like giving cuddles. Some on Steemit want to make money plain and simple and post posts like wild automatons. Some are doing it for deeper ideological reasons like myself and @baah for example. We make our money elsewhere. @baah I salute you Sir.
Steemit Marketing
Steemit has one of the most engaging marketing campaigns at the moment through its crowd-sourcing model. A treasury system appears to be in place to support the best ideas that rise to the surface.
There is a Steemit Inc. marketing team which focuses on the long-term development of Steemit's brand, but I believe an External Business Development Blog would aid this evolution. This account could be curated by @andrarchy and Mitchell.
Marketing towards more everyday users like my mother will probably take place once this evolution is fully released.
