Some time ago I had the opportunity to visit MONAS (National Monument) in Jakarta. And downstairs there are dioramas that tell about the prehistory and history of the struggle of the Indonesian nation achieved its independence from the Netherlands in 1945.
Here are some photos and information that I remember from my trip to the national museum three months ago.

Eugene Dubois, a doctor from the Netherlands has been doing research on the island of Java and discovered early human fossils were then given the name of Pithecanthropus erectus. After that, is Von Koenigswald were also discovered ancient human fossils in an area of Mojokerto, he furnish the name "Pithecanthropus mojokertensis". The ape man from Mojokerto.
I wanna tell @gavvet and @keuudeip for this one, as a researchers of the fossils and artifacts, maybe there is interest from their kind about early humans from Java.

Diorama that tells the story of the victory ceremony on May 1, 1963. This diorama was made in commemoration of the ceremony when the Dutch handed over to the Indonesian Irian Jaya, after getting caught on Soekarno that the Dutch tried to establish a puppet government there.

The plane, which had been created by generations of native Indonesia. Symbolizes Indonesia's progress on the technological world.

Among some of the diorama that I linked above, there is a tendency on my interest for two dioramas below. For me this has great meaning because it deals with the province where I live. I really memorize this history. When the Dutch generals were killed died in the hands of the indigenous Acehnese peoples.

The Aceh War 1873 - 1904
When the Acehnese refused Dutch demands in order to stop any kind of relationship diplomacy with other countries, it is because of that, the surge of war also sown by the spirit of the people Acehnese. Acehnese then war with the Dutch, but unfortunately, the first attack failed, and General Kohler has one last breath in front of Baiturrahman grand mosque, Aceh.
