1,515 HBD exchanged in January!
January has passed, and even with some days of instability on Telegram, we have once again surpassed 1,000 HBD exchanged breaking again the volume record, and even more importantly: Hive P2P can now pay for its own maintenance and development. Let’s talk about the statistics for the first month of 2025, and I’ll leave you with a small preview of the DApp we are creating for Hive P2P at the end.
What has been exchanged on Hive P2P in January? The exchange with CUP remains our most used service, as we almost reached 300,000 Cuban pesos exchanged for the stablecoin. The exchange of cash dollars is also one of the most used, followed by MLC, which has increased its rate alongside CUP. Etecsa balance has entered the scene as an exchange method, which has long been a form of currency in Cuba for remittances. You can see the exact rates and data below in the table and images.

The Hive P2P WebApp is coming soon!
Those who remember the roadmap I announced at the beginning of January might see that developing a WebApp was far down the list for 2025. Telegram’s new policies have made us accelerate its arrival, and we hope to announce it this very month. I know you’re going to like it because it will make everything much easier, and not just for Cubans.

Paso enero y aun con ciertos días de inestabilidad por parte de Telegram, hemos vuelto a sobrepasar los 1000 HBD intercambiados rompiendo nuevamente el record de volumen y aún más importante: Hive P2P ya puede pagar su mantenimiento y desarrollo por sí solo. Hablemos de las estadísticas en el primer mes del 2025 y les voy a dejar un pequeño adelanto de la DApp que estamos creando para Hive P2P al final.
¿Qué se ha intercambiado en Hive P2P en enero? El intercambio con el CUP sigue siendo el mayor uso que tenemos, pues casi llegamos a los 300,000 pesos cubanos intercambiados por la estable. El cambio al dólar en efectivo también ha sido uno de los más usados, seguido por el MLC que ha aumentado su tarifa a la par que la del CUP. Entra en escena el saldo de Etecsa como un método de intercambio que desde hace tiempo ha sido una moneda de cambio en Cuba en las remesas. ¡Está por llegar la WebApp de Hive P2P!
Quien recuerde el roadmap que anuncie a inicios de enero quizás pueda ver como el desarrollo de una WebApp estaba bien lejos en la lista para el 2025. Las nuevas políticas de Telegram nos han hecho acelerar su llegado y esperamos poder anunciarles este mismo mes de ello. Sé que les va a gustar porque hará todo mucho más sencillo y no solo para los cubanos.
