From my experience in running campaigns, ffective marketing or promotion often requires having all the necessary tools in place. The way I and my friends are promoting this project is such that we are utilizing all known effective strategies for creating awareness in our environment. Flier is one important way to promote any initiative in Nigeria. So I went ahead to design and print a simple information flier especially as we get ready to do more campaign outdoors.
Making it simple and attractive
I have always loved simplicity in information marketing. So I took to a popular, industry-standard tool Canva to create a flier with just the right amount of information in it. I choose a template that is not information packed. It took time to edit and add a picture, but the final product is very much pleasing to see. Of course, I took note of SpendHBD colors and made sure they are reflected in the design. At the end, we have a wonderful and attractive tool to spread the word as you can see.
I went ahead to the publishing house where the design is laid 4 pieces inside one A3 paper as you can see below.
Then it was cut into the designed individual sizes. I made a total of 100 fliers which would be a good number to start for campaign. You can see the fliers shown below.
The SpendHBD outdoor campaign will soon take us to a place with guranteed youth population - Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic. This tertiary institution in Aba is home to more than 10,000 students from across cities and states in Nigeria. Getting into a busy environment would definitely require this flier which could be handed to interested students after a brief introduction. I am hoping to have a favorable response once we enter the school sometime next week. But then again, the flier would really come in handy in that school environment.
ShoKiN Team badge
We had an experience the last time while speaking with the management of Tiger Bar bar. After accepting to let us come to the center for our ShoKiN day 8, she asked how will she and her management be able to identify our members that are coming. While we explained that they will put on either a branded T-shirt or Face cap, she really want to see a form of other ID that could have a personal identification. At that moment, I knew a ShoKiN team badge wont be a bad idea at all.
So I thought we could have a simple team badge that our friends could always wear in addition to branded Tshirts anytime we are going out for ShoKiN activities. For now this is just an idea, but I think it would be a nice way to make us look more business-oriented. So I downloaded a simple and free app called employee card maker and used one of its free templates to make this ShoKiN team badge below.

The plan is that in our next ShoKiN activity, we are going to wear this badge and look more official. I think it will create a better Impression when others see us with our badges to properly identify us especially when we are meeting at a public place where many users would be attending too.

Finally
Both the flier and the badge will be instrumental as we push the SpendHBD project. We will look more lovely and spendHBD would have been given a proper facelift.
