Saludos queridos amigos de la comunidad Aliento.

Greetings dear friends of the community Aliento.

Estas ultimas semanas de mi vida he experimentado cualquier cantidad de emociones, situaciones y experiencias que me han marcado mucho físico, mental y emocionalmente.

These last few weeks of my life I have experienced any number of emotions, situations and experiences that have marked me physically, mentally and emotionally.

Como todos saben el pasado 8 de octubre fue un día muy especial para mí, esta exhibición suponía un gran reto, les soy honesto, creí que no lograría realizar el evento por múltiples problemas de carácter administrativos que la Alcaldía de Naguanagua nos había colocado como obstáculo, sin embargo, esto no fue la excusa para no seguir adelante con el evento.

As you all know the 8th of October was a very special day for me, this exhibition was a great challenge, I am honest, I thought I would not be able to make the event because of multiple administrative problems that the Mayor of Naguanagua had placed as an obstacle, however, this was not the excuse for not going ahead with the event.

Desde que comencé el proyecto SWC, me descuidé al punto que dejé de pensar en mi para pensar colectivamente en todos los chicos que integran esta maravillosa Comunidad que actualmente lidero. Hasta mis entrenamientos tuve que ir dejando para dedicarme a tiempo completo en gestiones de la comunidad.

Since I started the SWC project, I neglected myself to the point that I stopped thinking about myself to think collectively about all the kids that make up this wonderful community that I currently lead. Even my training sessions I had to give up to dedicate myself full time to the management of the community.

Ya venía con algo de tensión y stress emocional puesto que una semana antes de la exhibición tuve una caída en mi bicicleta y salí lesionado de mis muñecas y rodilla izquierda.

I was already under some tension and emotional stress because a week before the exhibition I had a fall on my bike and injured my wrists and left knee.

Entonces lesionado y con la organización de la exhibición creí que mas nada podría ocurrir, fue entonces donde comencé a sentirme muy pero muy mal, tuve un cuadro viral que me dejo 5 días casi en cama guardando reposo faltando tan solo una semana para el evento. Imagínense como estaba mi ánimo, lesionado, enfermo y con la incertidumbre de saber si podía asistir si o no el día del evento.

Then injured and with the organization of the exhibition I thought that nothing else could happen, it was then that I started to feel very, very bad, I had a viral illness that left me almost 5 days in bed on bed rest with only a week to go before the event. Imagine how my mood was, injured, sick and with the uncertainty of knowing if I could attend or not the day of the event.

Como siempre me mentalicé en que todo iba salir bien más allá de los obstáculos o complejidades que pudieran atravesarse en el camino, fue donde me dije: “Algo grande sucederá luego de hacerse realidad la realización de esta exhibición”, no se si me dije eso para automotivarme y sacar fuerzas de donde no las tenía pero me mentalicé con esa energía, luego mi madre (@marlenyaragua) quien estaba haciendo los trámites de los permisos junto a nuestros amigos @yonilkar y @wilfredojgf me mencionaron que la Alcaldía de Naguanagua estaban obstaculizando el proceso de los trámites de permisos solicitando cualquier cantidad de documentos que no eran necesarios, eso causó en mi gran estrés emocional sumado al que tenía, mi dolor de cabeza no se detenía y mi lesión en la muñeca izquierda estaba desinflamando sin habérmela tratado, esto se suponía que fuera algo positivo pero realmente era algo negativo porque quedaría la lesión ahí de forma indefinida.

As I was always thinking that everything was going to be fine regardless of any obstacles or complexities that might come up along the way, I said to myself: "Something big will happen after the realisation of this exhibition", I don't know if I said that to myself to motivate myself and get strength from where I didn't have it but I mentalized myself with that energy, then my mother (@marlenyaragua) who was doing the paperwork for the permits along with our friends @yonilkar and @wilfredojgf mentioned to me that the Alcaldía de Naguanagua were hindering the process of the permits paperwork requesting any amount of documents that were not necessary, This caused me a lot of emotional stress, my headache wouldn't stop and my left wrist injury was going down without having been treated, this was supposed to be a positive thing but it was actually a negative thing because the injury would remain there indefinitely.

El gran día del evento llegó, todo salió como lo esperaba de principio a fin, no ocurrieron novedades, más allá de ciertas situaciones fáciles de controlar.

The big day of the event arrived, everything went as expected from start to finish, nothing new happened, apart from certain situations that were easy to control.

Llegó el día 9 de octubre con una amarga noticia sobre la tragedia que aconteció en la localidad de Las Tejerías, un deslave ocasionó enormes pérdidas materiales y el fallecimiento de muchos ciudadanos y desaparecidos. Esa noticia nos dejó desbastados y con algunas emociones a flor de piel. Llegando la tarde a eso de las 5 PM el cielo comenzó a nublarse no nos esperábamos que callera un aguacero, la naturaleza es impredecible, comenzó a llover con vientos fuertes, comenzó a llover sin clemencia ocasionando así que las calles se inundaran, esto provocó que el agua de la calle entrara sin dificultad a nuestro hogar. El agua entró a la parte interna de nuestra casa ocasionando así una inundación de escala mayor, tuvimos perdidas materiales, aunque las perdidas materiales eran lo de menos, lo que sentíamos internamente en nuestras almas era frustración, tristeza y lamento.

The 9th of October arrived with the bitter news of the tragedy that took place in the town of Las Tejerías, a landslide caused enormous material losses and the death of many citizens and missing persons. This news left us devastated and with some emotions running high. In the afternoon at about 5 PM the sky began to cloud over, we did not expect a downpour, nature is unpredictable, it began to rain with strong winds, it began to rain mercilessly causing the streets to flood, this caused the water from the street to enter our home without difficulty. The water entered the inside of our house causing flooding on a major scale, we had material losses, although the material losses were the least of it, what we felt internally in our souls was frustration, sadness and regret.

Mi computadora, ropa, zapatos y nuestra nevera se vieron fuertemente afectadas, como verán en las fotografías el agua entró acompañada de sedimentos y afectó en algunas zonas la infraestructura de nuestra casa.

My computer, clothes, shoes and our fridge were heavily affected, as you will see in the photographs the water entered accompanied by sediment and affected the infrastructure of our house in some areas.

Duré mas de dos días entre limpiando y organizando todo, el cansancio emocional es peor que el cansancio físico, fue una jornada complicada y llena de mucha amargura, sin embargo, no dejábamos de agradecer a Dios y al Universo por hacer salido sanos y salvos de esta lamentable situación.

I spent more than two days cleaning and organising everything, the emotional exhaustion is worse than the physical exhaustion, it was a complicated journey full of bitterness, however, we could not stop thanking God and the Universe for getting us out of this unfortunate situation safe and sound.
