I don't recall ever seeing a chest-of-drawers in a restroom before, but I have now! This was seen inside the Ladies' Room at Maggie's Galley, a wonderful seafood restaurant in Waynesville, North Carolina (US).
The restaurant is not owned by a woman named Maggie (short for Margaret), but for the nearby town of Maggie Valley where the restaurant first opened. The town of Maggie Valley got its name from the first postmaster, who named it after one of his daughters, Maggie Mae Setzer. [source] The restaurant was so popular, it quickly outgrew its small location and found a new home in Waynesville.

I highly recommend this restaurant, by the way, if you ever find yourself in the area. The place is family-owned and operated, so they definitely have a vested interest in keeping guests happy. All of the staff, even those who are not part of family, are wonderful and the service is excellent. There is quite a variety of food on the menu, including options for those who aren't in a mood for seafood, and their fare is delicious! 😋
The entire restaurant is rich with beautiful wooden doors, door-facings, window-facings, wooden tables & chairs, a wooden bar, and wooden furnishings. So, it was only fitting to have a beautiful wooden item in the Ladies' Room! I have no clue whether it was included as an accent piece, a place for purses to be placed, or perhaps even a baby-changing station. Or, maybe it is all of those, rolled into one!
This is a participatory post in the #toiletthursday initiative by @brittandjosie 😁
I seldom think about taking snaps in a restroom, unless I see something interesting like this! But I did, and thought of Britt when I snapped the shot!
