Hive Stcok Images: Violet Carpenter Bee (Xylocopa violacea)

IMG_20210618_110154.jpg

Here I want to contribute again to Stock Images. The object I want to share this time is macro images of the Violet carpenter bee (Xylocopa violacea) sucking nectar from lantana flowers.

Yes, there are quite a few species of carpenter bees in the area where I live, one of which is the Violet carpenter bee which is slightly larger than the other carpenter bee species.

Almost every afternoon I walk around the Pusong reservoir to find good photography spots. From the side of the road, you can see carpenter bees flying in the bushes that grow around the reservoir. They seem to be competing to find fresh flower juice or nectar to suck. All you have to do is get your camera ready, get close to them, and shoot as much as you want.
