In Indonesia today, women are fond of taro plants. Particularly in the town where I live, Lhokseumawe, the side of the highway is full of impromptu sellers of taro plants.
I wonder why they like taro plants (Colocasia esculenta), I have a bad experience with it. When I was a kid, I had taro sap on my tongue and it itched so much. Until now if I remember it, I was traumatized by the taro plant.
To me, the orchid plant (Orchidaceae) is much more beautiful than taro and I love it. Some time ago, my wife and I visited my mother-in-law's house in Lhoksukon city. At my mother-in-law's house, there are quite a lot of orchids in different colors. It is truly refreshing to see them grow and bloom beautifully.
I want to share their images here, as my contribution to #hivestockimages. If you like it, you are free to use these images for your posts on the Hive Blog. 😃
