Snail (Achatina fulica)

Achatina fulica is a large land snail species, the common name is the "giant African snail" that belongs to the family Achatinidae.

However, the giant African snail in this images is still a kid, the body size will develop into 'giant snail'😀.

At our place, Aceh, Sumatra Island, don't eat it as food, but A. fulica is processed as a delicious food for duck feed. According to a scientific article released by the University of Michigan Zoological Museum:

Snails are often seen as a delicacy for humans and A. fulica is no exception. Humans around the world consume giant African snails as a source of protein when prepared correctly. Animal Diversity Web
