Setting Up for a Continue Cycle Indoor Grow...

Cannabis is legal to grow here in Canada now and we want to take advantage of that.

Last year we tried a crop in the covered garden but had problems with mold destroying most of our crop.

No more of that! We are going to do our growing in a more controlled environment since we have the perfect set up in our sun room, with a little tweaking!

Gardening Indoors

We have set up the sun room for an indoor garden. Growing lots of fresh greens, some other veggies and herbs - Cannabis included!

Last year we grew up the mothers indoors and got the cuttings to a good size, then when the weather warmed up enough we planted the cuttings outside in the covered garden. With our cool damp weather we had a mold problem.

This year we will do all the growing indoors, a continuous grow!

We'll cycle grown cuttings into the area we have set up for the flowering stage. This posed a bit of a problem when we are vegging the cutting out (plus growing other herbs and vegetables) under lights in the same grow room.

A darkening tent was needed! So we will be able to darken off for a 12 and 12 dark/light cycle.

We used some rigid PVC Conduit Pipe fastened with tees to make a light supportive frame that we can pull black plastic over.

Another thing we had set up so we could grow all winter long in our cold climate, was a system to capture the heat generated from the wood heater that was trapped at the top of our high cathedral ceiling.

Our main tool to do this was an inline fan mounted by the peak of the ceiling.

We ran a pipe down the wall in the living room which we boxed in with wood to make it look better, then we cut a hole through the wall to run the pipe into the grow room/sun room.

The inline fan is connected to a thermostat so we can regulate the temperature.

This works marvelously, considering we have -30 Celsius temperatures in the winter but we can keep the temperature in the grow area above 10 Celsius even in those temperatures without much added cost!
