Moon gazing, Meditation and Craters On The Moon
Here are some shots I got of the moon with my Canon Powershot SX60 HS. The first photo was just as it was getting dark.
Then after darkness had fallen.
It is rather intriguing to capture the detail of craters on the surface.
I find it rather mesmerising and relaxing to gaze at the moon, do you? Moon gazing is actually highly respected as having health benefits such as bringing relief from insomnia and increasing your powers of concentration significantly. It is said to correct eye conditions of myopia, early stages of cataracts and far sightedness. I hope this turns out to be true as my eyesight is a little imperfect to say the least these days.
It is also considered to help develop ones third eye and increase intuitiveness.
Moon gazing also induces deep relaxation and the associated benefits of all deep meditative practices. So I think we should all be doing as much as possible. The skies are clearer and quieter than usual so make yourself comfortable and start moon gazing asap. Daytime or night time... Gaze without blinking for as long as you can and then when your eyes start to water you can close your eyes and, bringing your attention to your third eye, continue watching the image of the moon imprinted within . Ah.... the art of relaxation and meditation, it's all really quite dreamy!
