Yesterday I organized a small gathering with some of my friends, with the people that have been supporting me, just as I have been supporting them, as we go through this huge transition. This transition has affected us all in so many different ways, and now as we reach the middle of this year. (A year we all had such high hopes for, one that I think so many of us knew something huge was going to happen. ), we have the opportunity to come together and celebrate who we are.
I know now, that everything I have gone through, has led me, to this point in my life. My time to be proactive. All those times I felt myself being tested, how I had been pushed to my limit and yet through it all I kept my head above water. I kept my faith, because I knew that I could get through it all! We are made for these times! Let us not forget that.
Yesterday I felt my energy rising, I felt empowered surrounded by my my friends, in this very powerful time of the year. Summer Solstice is the time, to come together and celebrate one another, to reflect on the last six months. To look back on our many achievements and how far we’ve come, as well as an opportunity to look at what is happening on a global level.
We have been through so much already and we have had to adapt and adjust to what has been thrown at us, and to really re-evaluate what is important to us in life.
Solstice means the standing of the Sun, this important part of our yearly cycle, calls on us to be still. To pause and yes to see our achievements but also to look back and reflect on all those things that have not turned out the way that we wanted.On what we may recognize as failures.
Our lives were forced to stop ,as we tried to process what was happening and until we adapted to what was thrown upon us. But we have this opportunity to pause and to try make sense of what has been going on. To reflect on our reactions, on how we chose to respond.
Lets take this time to see all of them as lessons, as opportunities for learning, for remembering.
As I walk around the land, everything is so vibrant and full of life. The growing season is at its peak, with so many beautiful flowers, the trees in full leaf and I have an abundance of vegetables growing around me. The seeds that I planted, are now well established plants and I have begun to harvest some of the veg from them.
It is one of my greatest joys in life, to grow the food that nourishes me and my girls. To watch them as they come running towards me, so excited because they have discovered a new cucumber, or courgette tomato that is growing.
I am surrounded by an abundance of life and love and I’m so grateful for it, so, so grateful.
Summer solstice, is of course, also about the Sun, the Sun that feeds us and energizes us, that brings life to us. Right now,We are at our most expressive, most expansive. We are now opening ourselves up to the potential that awaits us!
Now is the time to embrace life and to put our energy into focusing on who you wish to become. Solstice is all about expressing ourselves through dance and song, it is a wonderful time to celebrate our uniqueness and our diversity, to come together with others and celebrate one another. (although we do not need an excuse to do this, but right now is a powerful time to do just that).
We do not know what awaits us all, there is still so much uncertainty, still so much fear. So let’s focus on what we can do, what we need to do.
Even though we are in the middle of summer and it feels as though the light is so much more present, we are actually starting the journey back into darkness. Because after the solstice the days become shorter. So this is really the beginning of our journey back into our inner realms.
Our time to focus on the work we need to be doing internally, in order to achieve what it is that we really want externally. Nobody can do this for us. This is a time of transformation, this is a time of rebirth, as one thing ends, another begins.
This is part of the constant cycle that happens in life, that happens for us, it is time to see it for what it really is, an opportunity to let go of what no longer serves us, to learn from what we have experienced and embrace what awaits us and who we are becoming.
