If Trees Could Talk - Mindful Street Art

HUG ME

Yesterday, while on a walk in a nearby park, my attention was caught by some colorful and positive street art.

Interesting enough, it seemed like I was the only one who took notice. These days, most people seem way too distracted to be mindful. Every time I greet someone, it seems like I awaken them out of their slumber / daydreams/ worries. As if I get them back to the now for just a little bit.

I do my best to do the opposite - to be as mindful ( as often ) as possible, even though distraction is one of my many middle names and my mind is a pro racer.

To get back to the "HUG ME" picture above...

If you've been following me for a while, you would get the joke of me using 'my tiny raptor arms' as an excuse to not hug this tree.

My human arms are quite lengthy though, so no excuses there.

Let's be honest, I felt a little too self aware - or cared too much about what other people would think of me - ( as there were quite a lot of them around ) so I didn't hug this tree. I put my hands on it for a bit though and we exchanged some positive energy.

What follows is a bunch of pictures that I took of more mindful street art from this mindful Dutch artist(s):

Now let me end this little mindful write up by showing you that it's actually very green around here. This last picture was taken on my after dinner / evening walk, less than an hour ago.

I usually try to take as few pictures as possible on walks and tend to put my phone on airplane mode, so I can be as much in the now as possible.

What do you do to stay mindful, to get yourself out of the past and present / worrying or stress mode in these crazy times?
